Dortmund - German international Mats Hummels is drawing ever closer to making his comeback from a spell on the sidelines.
The 24-year-old centre-back has returned to training with the Borussia Dortmund reserves after tearing ligaments in his right ankle during BVB’s 2-1 loss to FC Schalke 04 on 9 March 2013.
'Back on the horse'
“If it works, then we want to get him back on the horse as soon as possible,” said Borussia boss Jürgen Klopp ahead of his side’s home game against FC Augsburg on Saturday.
While the Yellow-Blacks injury situation has improved drastically over the past weeks, there are still question marks surrounding the fitness of Polish international Jakub Blaszczykowski, who ruled himself out of the 0-0 draw with Malaga CF in the UEFA Champions League due to a niggling groin problem.
