Ruben Perez, after a (1-5) win against Granada: 'We reach a good moment as we prepare to face Sevilla

Ruben Perez was part of Real Betis' starting lineup in a game that saw the team from Sevilla hand out a (5-1) thrashing over Granada in week 30 of Liga BBVA. For Perez, this victory was important "not only because of the three points obtained but also because it helped boost the team's morale as they prepare for next week's game against Sevilla". On a personal sidenote, Perez is happy with his side's performance: "I am happy about the result and the three points. Vadillo was great out there and so was Nosa. Nos put the ball in play a lot and gave us a lot of aerial chances. That's important for us".

The Betis players assured us that the win over Granada was very important as it gets the team closer and closer to a spot in European competition next year: "We're taking it one game at a time and every match is crucial. Last week against Getafe we only managed a draw but this week was better. Now it's time to enjoy and head to the game against Sevilla with an open mind. We're going to relax this weekend and enjoy the three points. On Monday it'll be time to think about the Derby. There is still some time left until kick off but we must think about this game every day and prepare accordingly. We need to train a lot for this. What's important is how we end the season, not how they do. These three points were great, we were at home and in front of the fans who were enjoying it and who rightfully deserve them as well".
