Conte: Juventus still have work to do

The Italian was a little disappointed with his side's performances in the Trofeo Tim on Tuesday and revealed he has not yet decided on his first-choice strike partnership
Antonio Conte has admitted that Juventus still have work to do before the start of the 2013-14 Serie A campaign in the wake of their uninspiring performances at the Trofeo Tim on Tuesday.

The reigning Italian champions recorded a scoreless draw against AC Milan before losing on penalties in the pre-season fixtures, before they beat Sassuolo after spot kicks after yet another goalless encounter.

"The important thing is that we’ve finished the pre-season training camp and now Tuesday evening’s encounters without picking up any injuries," Conte was quoted as saying on the official Juventus website.

"We didn’t concede, but we weren’t able to show much of what we’re capable of producing. It’s understandable, the lads have worked hard and had tired legs."

Conte started the match against Milan with new signings Fernando Llorente and Carlos Tevez up front, but he stressed that he has not yet made a final decision on who will form Juventus' attack once the season gets underway.

"I’ve got a good set of strikers to choose from, and I will make decisions according to their performance in training during the week," he explained. "Today, I tried to give all of them a game."
