Altobelli: This is the worst Inter I have ever seen

The Nerazzurri legend is not impressed with their performances this season and has urged Massimo Moratti to change coaches this summer
Inter icon Alessandro Altobelli has hit out at coach Andrea Stramaccioni and feels the current team is the worst one in recent history.

The Nerazzurri sit ninth in the Serie A table with one more game to go and the 57-year-old feels club president Massimo Moratti should replace the young trainer with Napoli boss Walter Mazzarri to return to the top.

"Moratti is seemingly in love with Stramaccioni and I honestly don't understand it. This is the worst Inter I have ever seen," Altobelli told Radio Onda Libera.

"They play badly, hardly score any goals and have lost a lot of games. Injuries do not explain such a negative season. There's no clear football philosophy or style of play.

"If Inter want to get back on track they should go for Mazzarri. If they don't get him, everything will probably stay as it is now."

Altobelli made over 300 official appearances for Inter between 1977 and 1988.
