Chelsea looked solid throughout most of the first-half but began to come under pressure towards the end.
And Petr Cech pulled off a superb save just before the break to keep them ahead.
Marcano netted a strong header soon after the restart after some woeful Blues defending allowed a cross to come in too easily.
Moses hit straight back after some good pressure from Ramires put the hosts under pressure.
But Karadeniz struck to give the Russians renewed hope.
Natcho’s controversial penalty 15 minutes from time left his side needing two goals to go through.

But Chelsea held on to keep alive their European hopes.
