Barcelona-Valladolid: Blaugrana protecting perfect Primera record

Barcelona will look to maintain their perfect record in the Primera Division this season when they host lowly Valladolid on Saturday.
Gerardo Martino's side have won all seven of their league fixtures in the Primera Division so far, scoring 24 goals and conceding just five.By contrast, their visitors lie 16th in the table with just one win to their name, a 1-0 home victory over Getafe at the end of August.
Valladolid have suffered defeat against Barcelona in each of the last seven league meetings, conceding 23 goals in the process, while they last tasted victory in this fixture with a 2-1 home success in October 2002.
Overall, Valladolid have won just three times in 30 meetings between the two sides and their last triumph at Camp Nou came in November 1997.
Barca's last league outing ended in a 2-0 win at Almeria, while on Tuesday Cesc Fabregas' header gave them a 1-0 win at 10-man Celtic in the Champions League.
Martino's charges remain unbeaten in all competitions this season, with only the two draws against Atletico Madrid in the Supercopa de Espana blighting their record.
By contrast, Valladolid are winless in their last four games and currently sit just two places and three points above the bottom three.
The hosts will again be without Lionel Messi, who is out for two to three weeks with the hamstring injury that he sustained in win at Almeria shortly after scoring his 11th goal of the season.
Meanwhile, Valladolid midfielder Victor Perez will miss the trip to Catalunya, after undergoing surgery on a fractured left tibia, and is not expected to return to action until January.
The quartet of Alvaro Rubio, Oscar, Lluis Sastre and Daniel Larsson will all be absent, while Valdet Rama is a doubt after pulling up in training.
