Ivanovic: Best yet to come from Willian at Chelsea

The €35 million man marked his Premier League debut with a stunning strike against Norwich City and his team-mate is expecting more of the same
Branislav Ivanovic insists the best is yet to come from Willian, after the summer signing opened his Chelsea account against Norwich City.

The attacker signed for the Blues in controversial fashion, with the Brazilian having already agreed a €35 million deal with Tottenham only for Chelsea to seal his signature with an 11th-hour bid.

Despite his hefty price tag Willian has struggled to force his way into Jose Mourinho's first-team plans, but Ivanovic believes his team-mate's confidence will be handed a huge boost after scoring a stunning curling effort on Sunday.

"Willian showed he can improve and he can impress all the guys more, and we expect from him a lot," Ivanovic told FIFA.com.

"His goal is very important for him for confidence and for motivation."

Ivanovic also believes Chelsea fans can expect more from Samuel Eto’o following his summer move to Stamford Bridge, also from Anzhi.

"Eto'o is a guy who is still new in our team, in our squad, and we have tried to help him to settle as quickly as possible," Ivanovic added.

"Both guys add fantastic quality."
