La Liga Team of the Week: Adriano & Benzema both included

The Brazilian and the Frenchman secured narrow wins for Barcelona and Real Madrid, while Diego Costa returns as four Atletico Madrid players make the cut
The second round of Liga action brought 25 goals, 10 fewer than the opening weekend, with wins for Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico, Espanyol, Athletic Bilbao, Villarreal and Celta Vigo. Here, Goal looks at the standout performers in the Liga Team of the Week.

In goal, Celta's Yoel produced plenty of heroics to deny Betis in a hard-fought 2-1 win for the Galicians in Seville.

At the back, Adriano helped Barcelona keep a clean sheet at Malaga and, although the Brazilian departed through injury in the second half, he hit the winner with a fierce long-range effort before the interval to secure three points for the Catalan club. Filipe Luis impressed for Atletico with some excellent defending and surging forward runs as Diego Simeone's side thrashed Rayo Vallecano 5-0, and Hector Moreno was outstanding for Espanyol in the Catalans' 3-1 victory over Valencia.

Further forward, Atletico pair Arda Turan and Raul Garcia led the Madrid side to their morale-boosting goal feast ahead of the Spanish Supercopa second leg at Barcelona on Wednesday. Elsewhere, Espanyol's David Lopez was key in a fine win for Javier Aguirre's side and Iker Muniain was the standout performer as Athletic Bilbao went provisionally clear with a 2-0 success over northern rivals Osasuna on Friday.

In attack, Diego Costa scored again and is included for the second week running, as is Carlos Vela, who rescued a point for a below-par Real Sociedad at Elche. Madrid's Karim Benzema completes the line-up following his strike in the 1-0 win at Granada on Monday.
