Ibrahimovic is no longer the centre of the world, says Papin

The Olympique de Marseille legend believes the Sweden forward's status at Paris Saint-Germain has changed after the arrival of Edinson Cavani at the club

Jean-Pierre Papin has suggested that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has lost his position as Paris Saint-Germain's top star after the signing of Edinson Cavani.
The 31-year-old Swede has not scored in his last three competitive games for les Parisiens, suffering a similar drought only once last season, and is under pressure to find the net against Nantes on Sunday.
Papin believes that Ibrahimovic must now come to terms with being one of two world-class strikers at the club and that he may find himself second choice to Cavani if he does not end his barren spell.
"The problem today is that he [Ibrahimovic] is no longer the centre of the world," the 1991 Ballon d'Or winner was quoted by le10sport.com.
"With Cavani, PSG has two superstars and, obviously, one of the two will be more successful than the other. It must have made him twinge to see Cavani score last Sunday [in a 1-1 draw with Ajaccio] and not him.
"But I am sure that his priority is to see PSG win. The group must come before him."
Les Rouge-et-bleu have made an indifferent start to their title defence, having drawn both of their opening two games.
