Juventus should sign Nani, says Lombardo

The former Bianconeri winger has urged his old employers to make a move for the Portugal attacker before the close of the transfer window

Attilio Lombardo feels that Manchester United winger Nani would be the perfect summer signing forJuventus, claiming the Portugal international would add something to the Serie A champions they are currently missing.

The Portugal international's future at the Premier League champions is in doubt, with his contract set to expire in the summer of 2014.

Lombardo is therefore urging his old club to make a move for the 26-year-old, whom he holds in the highest esteem.

"Nani would be the ideal addition for Juventus. He would make them even more competitive," the formerBianconeri winger told Tuttosport.

"He no longer seems as hard to sign as before now that United seemingly prefer [Antonio] Valencia on the right.

"Juventus don't have a player like him at the moment."

Nani joined United from Sporting CP in the summer of 2007 and has since made over 200 official appearances for the English champions, winning four league titles in the process.
