Juventus mull over move for Barcelona starlet Buenacasa

The 17-year-old striker, who has been likened to Paris Saint-Germain ace Zlatan Ibrahimovic, is believed to want to force a move away from Camp Nou

Juventus are considering making a move for Barcelona starlet Sergio Buenacasa.

The 17-year-old striker is regarded as one the most talented players La Masia has produced in recent seasons and has been repeatedly likened to former Blaugrana forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic - due to both his prodigious footballing talent and also his attitude on and off the field.

Consequently, Barca are willing to allow the attacker to leave Camp Nou, as evidenced by the player's recent trial with Scottish champions Celtic.

However, Goal has learned that Juventus are now monitoring Buenacasa's situation with interest, though, the Serie A titleholders have not made a formal approach for the teenager.

Indeed, it remains to be seen if the Bianconeri will lodge a bid given that director general Beppe Marotta is currently focused on addressing the club's excess of strikers, with Fabio Quagliarella and Alessandro Matri both free to leave the Turin-based side if an acceptable bid is received for either.

Meanwhile, several other clubs are tracking Buenacasa, meaning the youngster's future could well be decided before Juventus free up space in their squad for another forward.

Zaragoza-born Buenacasa has yet to make an official appearance for Barcelona's senior side.
